Does PageNarrator send my reading content to the cloud?
No. Article extraction and AI voice generation run locally in your browser. Page text, selected text, PDFs, URLs, and browsing history are not sent to PageNarrator servers.

Is PageNarrator a subscription?

Why does setup download a voice model?
PageNarrator downloads the AI voice model once during setup and caches it in your browser. The Kokoro model is about 300 MB. This makes narration run locally instead of sending reading content to a cloud TTS service. A modern desktop CPU is recommended; WebGPU is used automatically when available.
Which browsers are supported?
PageNarrator runs on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based desktop browsers version 120 or newer.
